Town Board

Dear

Voter,

I may be new to local politics but I have long been an active member of our beautiful community. Like you, I want East Hampton to stay special. I’ve been here most of my life living permanently for over 25 years -with my now college-bound children and my significant other, a teacher in the Southampton school system.

I can’t think of another place we’d all rather be.

I truly believe I can bring perspective and grounded solutions to the issues facing our diverse community.

From undergraduate studies in engineering at Georgia Tech, and MBA in finance at Columbia Business School, I learned about problem solving and finding practical solutions in contexts of limited resources and constraints.

WORTHY CAUSES

Elder & Treasurer of the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church for ten years; Triathlete, ocean lifeguard and first responder for both East Hampton and Southampton Village Ocean Rescue. Career: CREDIBILITY

and TRUST

I traded currency derivatives in the global foreign exchange market and advised Fortune 500 multinational corporations on how to best mitigate foreign exchange currency risk as Vice President for the Bank of NY. I established credibility and trust both with clients and colleagues.

SAVE EAST HAMPTON

I Stand for a NEW direction for the Town Board and a balanced leadership that will

  • ADVOCATE for All versus the one-party rule that benefits the Few

  • PROPOSE common-sense solutions versus wasteful litigation

  • KEEP the EH Airport and the Maidstone Gun Club OPEN subject to agreement that addresses noise and safety issues

  • STOP the “Wainscott Sandpit” Mall

  • PRESERVE our historical and cultural heritage and END mindless overdevelopment

  • PRESERVE Montauk’s Hither Hills from Wastewater Treatment Plants

  • ABIDE by the spirit and philosophy of the 2005 Town of East Hampton Master Plan

  • MANDATE sustainable energy solutions for new construction

  • FIND alternatives to traffic congestion and "the trade parade"

  • RENOVATE the facilities and RESTORE sound management to the YMCA RECenter

As a lifelong Independent, I always found the intense polarization of national politics disheartening. I strongly believe that the issues and struggles that we have locally should be viewed as just that - local issues impacting our constituents and our local culture and not through the lens of party ideologies that dominate and create hostile environments at the national level.

MORE is BETTER than ONE

The one-party rule of the Democrat party in East Hampton has created an echo chamber that does not respond to the needs of our diverse community.
